Aak Ngampram Day – 30th Anniversary of the Wik Decision
Save the date for Friday the 18th of September 2026 at Neville Pootchemunka Oval, Aurukun, as we commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Wik Decision, a landmark moment in the recognition of Aboriginal land rights and the enduring connection of Wik, Wik Waya, and Kugu Peoples to Country.
Enjoy a day of culture, community and celebration featuring traditional dance performances, live music by AeeDee0, Black Image and Normey Jay, guest speakers, children’s activities and an evening fireworks display.
