Wik and Kugu Arts Centre
The Centre acknowledges the financial support from the Commonwealth (Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support) and State Governments.
Akay Aoilia Women’s Arts Centre
Since the opening of the new Women’s Arts Centre in August 2015, a new partnership with Cape York Employment has seen women of all ages accessing the centre for daily activities in creative industries.
The Women Centre with the support of Arts Queensland funding through their Backing Indigenous Arts Program, has established a series of skill set and professional development workshops that will help build both the capacity of the arts workers and the centre. The Commonwealth Government continue to assist our Akay Aoilia women’s artists.
Wik and Kugu artists are currently exhibiting at Maunsell & Wickes Gallery at Paddington in Sydney.
Wik and Kugu Upstairs Gallery
The Up Stairs Gallery at the centre has a large range of stock currently for sale, if you are looking for that new and wonderful gift for a love one for Christmas. The gallery has a large selection of items for viewing and sale. You are also welcome to meet the artists in their workshop.
