Koolkan Early Childhood Centre and Family Support Hub
Koolkan Child care offers families with children from 4 months to 5 ½ years a safe, warm and flexible education and care environment. The professional early childhood educators, assistants and the Manager all ensure your child receives the best care and program so you can feel comfortable and confident in your choice.
The Koolkan Early Childhood Centre contains:
- A Pre-prep room
- Able to have 24 children
- A Kindy room suitable for children 2 to 4 years
- Able to have 21 children
- A baby room suitable for children from 4 months to 2 years
- Able to have 8 babies
These enrolments are only available if the right number of staff is present on the day. The Centre is licensed under the Child Care Act and has to follow the Child Care Regulations. There is a copy of these regulations available if you wish to see them and a copy of the license is on display at the front entry.
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Thursday
7:45am – 2:30pm
Friday
7:45am – 12pm
Pre-Prep children commence at 8:00am

On 1 July 2025, a new organisation called Selectability Ltd took over Chivaree Centre to provide aged care services for Aurukun.
