This year’s Christmas Tree was a great celebration for the Aurukun community.
A jovial and enthusiastic Santa arrived in a police wagon and was greeted by a crowd of at least 400.
His dancing style was to be commended.
Linda Sivyer and assistants once again excelled themselves with their arrangements.
Special thanks to the Island and Cape supermarket for their hot dogs and soft drinks.
The popcorn machine was most popular and was efficiently operated by Justine Whiteman.
Presents provided by ASC were given to all children.
But the adults did not miss out when the Skytrans Christmas Lights competition prizes of 2 return airfares, kindly donated by Skytrans,
were presented to Vicki Yunkaporta and the runner up prize donated by Island and Cape went to Roxanne Yunkaporta.
