Thanks everyone for attending the inaugural Welcome to Aurukun Newcomers function.
There were 100 persons in attendance and a great time was had by all at the new HACC Respite Centre.
Mayor Dereck Walpo welcomed all present to his community and
wished everyone a pleasant and positive stay.
All other Councillors Ada Woolla, Angus Kerindun, Vera Koomeeta and Edgar Kerindun were present last night.
The Mayor went on to officially launch the new Aurukun Shire Council 2014 to 2019 corporate plan.
This exciting corporate plan is now displayed on the ASC website.
A special thanks to all volunteers who undertook the cooking and other arrangements.
